Pelvic Liberation: A 2-Hour Workshop for All Genders
(with Spanish translation)
With Santina Giardina-Chard
The pelvic floor — a group of muscles located at the base of the pelvis — is one of the most crucial and misunderstood parts of the human body. It’s the foundation for good posture, a key player in how we walk, move, and connect, and a powerful container of both physical and emotional energy. Yet, culturally and medically, it has often been ignored, misunderstood, or treated with shame.
In this 2-hour workshop, yoga educator and pelvic health advocate Santina Giardina-Chard will guide participants of all genders through an empowering exploration of pelvic anatomy, function, movement, and emotional connection. With a combination of education, embodied practice, and open inquiry, this session offers a gateway into what it means to truly inhabit and heal this vital part of the body.
What We’ll Explore
- What the pelvic floor is and why it matters — anatomically, energetically, and emotionally
- How the pelvic floor influences posture, movement, sexuality, digestion, and nervous system regulation
- How cultural conditioning shapes our relationship to this part of the body
- Breathwork, gentle movement, and body awareness practices to assess, soften, and reconnect with the pelvic floor
- Tools to begin releasing tension, building strength, and cultivating presence in the pelvic region
- An invitation to shift from disconnection or shame toward agency, aliveness, and self-knowledge
